An Evening of Possibility 2024
Enriching Lives: Investing in Safety, Wellness, and Expertise
The Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders (GLCOE) provides coordinated specialty care for children and adults with developmental challenges. In August 2021, after a multiyear building campaign, the Center moved into a 28,000 square foot state-of-the-art new building. Since then, the Center has increased access to expert, coordinated care for one of Maine’s most vulnerable and underserved populations. Specifically, the Center now has:
- In-home, school, and outpatient programs that provide care across the lifespan.
- More than 100 specialized staff members on site.
- More than 700 families supported by our outpatient clinic.
- A busy research enterprise, including work underway thanks to a recent grant from Autism Speaks.
An Evening of Possibility benefit will take place on Friday, September 27, with a goal to raise $75,000 to support a few key needs under the overarching theme of improving the quality of life at the center: physically, behaviorally, and educationally. This support will help Maine Behavioral Healthcare (MBH) enhance the safety and wellness of the GLCOE community and provide on-site professional training to further the expertise of the center’s care team.
